Help Save The West From Global Warming

The American West: A place of wide-open spaces – mountains, deserts and rivers that are home to countless birds, wildlife, and fish. A spectacular place where tens of millions of Americans work and recreate.

The West is imperiled by global warming. With climate change, the West is getting hotter and drier – meaning less water for our communities, and reduced habitat for fish, birds and wildlife. Our western way of life, and all the living things in the West, are endangered by global warming.

We must act now to adopt a new vision – a new land ethic – for managing federal lands in the West to deal with global warming: The following key steps are needed:

  • Place a priority on protecting western federal lands from global warming.
  • Reduce the “stressors” on the landscape to improve the resilience of habitats and water sources.
  • Industries that benefit from our public lands now must give back to the land, by protecting remaining vital habitats and restoring degraded areas.

Help us Save The West from global warming! You can help by supporting our vision and sharing it with others and you can Save-An-Acre by joining our program to protect the public lands in the West that you care most about. Please join us!
